Life in Navi Mumbai

Well I wanted to write this from a long time and now after a year residing in Navi Mumbai thought to pen down my experience. Life in Navi Mumbai is as fast in Western, Central or South Mumbai, the transport is same, Malls are same.

Everything remains the same difference is the volume of crowd is a bit lower compared to South, Western or Central Mumbai. The traffic that I used to always get while traveling back home from Office (Goregaon to Dahisar) is nowhere to seen, can reach my office in barely 20 minutes.

The kind of development that Navi Mumbai has seen is remarkable! The inception of Navi Mumbai began in the 70’s as an alternate option to Mumbai’s overgrowing crowd and space issue. Like BMC in Mumbai CIDCO stands as a Government body in Navi Mumbai.

The kind of residential development that has happened here is also incredible, the prices have touched the Sky with a 1 BHK with a premium builder will cost no less than 1 CR in Kharghar, Vashi or Nerul. As due to space crunch in Mumbai city developers are now moving towards this part of Mumbai which has ample space and can provide township with affordable housing to Mumbaikars.

Well enough said about the development let’s move on to the interesting thing that Navi Mumbai has to offer. There are list of top eateries, food joints, global brands and an amazing huge Mall to entertain.

Seawoods Grand Central Mall which is located in Sanpada  an offers from international to national brands – Sephora, Nykaa, MAC, Steve Madden, Clarks endless list of Brands. And a foodcourt amazingly designed to give a feeling as if you are dining in a Garden theme restaurant.

Brands like Keventers, Howrah Burgers, 99 Pancakes, The J’s, Belgian Waffles have opened up their branches in Navi Mumbai and more precisely in Kharghar.

So to sum up Navi Mumbai is place of opportunities, peaceful and spacious homes with places like – Central Park which is a huge park with play area, open gym.
